Voluntary medical insurance for labor migrants




Imputed medical insurance is a type of voluntary medical insurance for foreigners temporarily residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Population Migration" and international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign workers receive medical services under the conditions specified in the standard imputed medical insurance agreement, approved by the authorized body in coordination with the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.


In accordance with subparagraph 6 of paragraph 1 of Article 26 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2015, No. 414-V (as amended and supplemented as of July 1, 2023), it is prohibited and restricted to conclude an employment contract and employ "foreigners and stateless persons temporarily residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan: who do not have an imputed medical insurance agreement covering primary healthcare and specialized medical care in inpatient settings in emergency cases, under the conditions established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan;".

The imputed voluntary medical insurance agreement can be purchased online (https://im.interteach.kz/purchase/) or at the company’s office at the address: Almaty city, Nazarbayev Ave. 269. Operating hours: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
